BEFORE INSTALLATION

Subfloor Preparation Matters

A flooring installation is only as good as the surface underneath it. Depending on the existing floor and subfloor condition, preparation may be required before installation begins.

Typical preparation can include existing floor removal, grinding, patching or floor levelling. The requirements vary by property and flooring product, so they are assessed for the individual project.

Existing Floor Removal
Carpet, laminate, tiles or other existing finishes where required.
Grinding
Preparation of high points or unsuitable surface areas.
Floor Levelling
Levelling where required to achieve a suitable installation surface.
Finishing Details
Trims, scotia, skirting considerations and other finishing requirements.
